Two Devis and a Hanuman for Amma's blessing
"Grazie, Amma!"
Devotees in Milano dance to a recording of Amma singing "Mata Rani" as they wait for Amma's arrival on Devi Bhava night.
Every night of the four days Amma was in Milano, the devotees washing pots and pans and dishes and silverware in a tent outside the hall would joyously sing upbeat bhajans and dance as they worked. The seva was a celebration. On Devi Bhava, they could not contain themselves and, upon finishing the work at 12:30 am, the paraded into the darshan hall and came before Amma singing "Shiva Shiva Shiva Shambo."
The dance and song went on for 10 minutes. Amma stopped giving darshan and just sat, gazing out at the joyous celebration of her Italian children--one lucky devotee held in her arms the entire time.
The pots and pans they had been washing were their drums. Buckets of silveware were shaken to become tambourines. Everyone from children to the elderly participated.
