Di Kerr, elder of the Wunrundjeri Tribe in Australia welcomed Amma - "I wish to welcome you from the tops of the trees to roots in the ground."

Reverend Helen Summers, Interfaith Minister and Founder and Director of the Interfaith Centre of Melbourne, welcomed Amma to Melbourne on the first night of programmes, and extended and invitation to Amma to speak at the next Parliament of World Religions to be held in Melbourne in December 2009.
